How to sell fast on Vinted: 15 tips ranked by impact
To sell fast on Vinted, start with what matters most: a sharp first photo of the whole item, every field filled in (brand, size, colour, material), a price within the range of items that have already sold, and listings kept fresh with price drops or reposts. The rest is fine-tuning.
Here are 15 tips ranked by impact, each with the exact action to take. If you only have 20 minutes, do the first three.
How are these tips ranked?
The ranking rests on two things: the criteria Vinted mentions on its page about content recommendations (time since upload, engagement, price, attributes, description) and seller common sense. It isn't a scientific measurement: Vinted doesn't publish the weight of each criterion. It is a reasoned order of priority.

Which Vinted tips have the most impact?
1. Show the whole item in the first photo
The thumbnail decides the click. Vinted's help page on photos says it clearly: show the whole item in the first photo, no collage, in daylight.
Action: open your 10 least-viewed listings and check the first photo. If the item is cut off, blurry or on a cluttered background, replace it.
2. Fill in every field, even optional ones
Buyers filter by size, colour, brand, condition and material. An empty field excludes you from the results, however good the listing.
Action: for each listing, check brand, size, colour and material. Two minutes per listing.
3. Base your price on what actually sells
The price of live listings tells you what sellers hope for. The price of sold items tells you what buyers accept. Aim between the two, a little below the average of live listings.
Action: search for your item, note three prices of comparable live items, and set yours slightly below their average.
4. Lower the price of listings that have favourites
When the price of a favourited item drops, the members concerned are notified: it is one of the notifications listed in Vinted's help page on notifications. It is a free nudge to people who are already interested.
Action: spot listings with at least 3 favourites and no offer for a week. Drop them by 10%.
5. Repost stuck listings
Time since the item was added is one of the ranking criteria. A three-week-old listing falls behind new ones. Reposting puts it back in the flow. Careful: it loses its favourites, so keep this for listings that have none. The right pace is covered in our article on when to repost.
Action: repost listings older than 15 days with no favourites, in small groups spread over the week.
Which tips improve conversion?
6. Write the title with buyers' words
Type of item, brand, distinguishing detail, colour, size. "Levi's Trucker denim jacket light wash blue M" beats "Lovely vintage jacket". Full method in our guide to a good Vinted title.
Action: rewrite the titles of your 5 least-viewed listings.
7. Reply to messages quickly
A buyer asking a question is often comparing several listings. Whoever replies first has an obvious edge.
Action: turn on message notifications and set yourself a rule: reply within the hour during the day.
8. Turn on bundle discounts
Vinted lets you offer a discount when a buyer takes several items. It turns an €8 purchase into a €25 basket.
Action: in your settings, turn on bundle discounts with a simple tier, for example 10% from 2 items.
9. Send within 24 hours
Vinted gives you 5 working days to send, but quick dispatch makes the buyer happy and the review follows.
Action: prepare your packaging in advance and drop parcels off the same day or the next.
10. Show and describe flaws
A hidden flaw means a likely dispute. A flaw that is shown means an honest sale that sticks.
Action: add a close-up photo of each flaw and a "Flaw:" line in the description.
What about the finishing touches?
11. Push seasonal items. In September, put your coats and jumpers back at the top (repost or new photo). Put swimwear away until spring.
12. Spread your listings out. Five listings a day for a week beats 35 at once: you create several waves of freshness.
13. Structure your description. Material, flat measurements, condition, flaws, postage. Four or five lines are enough. You will avoid repetitive questions.
14. Complete your profile. Photo, short bio, dispatch times. An empty profile is less reassuring, especially without reviews.
15. Use Bumps sparingly. A Vinted Bump pushes an item for 3 or 7 days, at a price shown at checkout. Keep it for items with a good margin: on a €6 piece, it doesn't pay off.
How much time do these tips take each week?
Most of them are quick one-offs. Two keep coming back: price drops and reposts. They are also the most profitable over time, and the most tedious.
Example: you have 70 listings live. Every week, around twenty are more than 15 days old. Deleting, recreating, re-uploading photos and filling in fields takes about 3 minutes per listing. That is an hour a week, four hours a month, just to keep your stock visible. If you skip two weeks, those listings slide far down the results, and with them the sales they would have made.
If you sell around ten items a month, that hour is manageable and you don't need a tool: a 20-minute routine a few times a week is enough.
Beyond that, it is the first task to slip when you are short of time. Revendor reposts your listings and nudges your favourites in the background, at the pace you choose.
Which tip should you start with tonight?
The first one. Open your least-viewed listings and look only at the thumbnail. If you wouldn't click on it, change the photo. It takes five minutes, and it is often where everything is decided.
Then fill in the empty fields. Then, in a week, do your first round of price drops on listings with favourites.
Frequently asked questions
How do you sell faster on Vinted?
Polish the first photo, fill in every field, set a price close to what actually sells, and keep your listings fresh by lowering the price of favourited items or reposting those that stall. These four levers matter more than everything else.
Should you lower your prices to sell on Vinted?
Not necessarily as soon as you list. A price drop is mainly useful on a listing that has favourites but no offer: the members concerned get notified. A 10% drop is often enough to get a reaction.
Does a Vinted Bump help you sell faster?
It increases visibility for 3 or 7 days, not the appeal of the listing. It helps a well-presented, well-priced item. It won't save a badly photographed or overpriced listing.
How many items should you list to sell regularly on Vinted?
There is no official number. The more active, fresh listings you have, the more chances you have to be seen. Listing a little every day beats listing everything at once.
Why do my Vinted items get views but not sell?
Lots of views and few favourites often point to the price. Favourites without a purchase point to hesitation: a price slightly too high, missing information (measurements, material) or photos that don't show the condition well enough.
