Withdrawing from your Vinted Wallet: real timings and how to unblock it

By Revendor8 min read

To withdraw money from your Vinted Wallet, the order has to be completed: the buyer has 2 days after receipt to report a problem, then the money becomes available within 2 days. The transfer to your bank then takes up to 5 working days. So allow roughly one to two weeks between shipping the parcel and having the money in your account.

You'll see how to read your Wallet, work out the date you'll be paid, and unblock a withdrawal that doesn't arrive.

How long does it take to get paid for a Vinted sale?

The wait breaks down into four stages, and only the last one depends on you. Everything else follows the rules Vinted publishes.

  1. Transit: from shipping to delivery, depending on the carrier and how quickly you drop the parcel off.
  2. Confirmation period: once the parcel is marked as delivered, the buyer has 2 days to confirm or report a problem. If they do nothing, the order completes on its own, according to Vinted's help page on getting paid for sales.
  3. Release: after completion, the money moves from "Pending balance" to "Available balance" within 2 days.
  4. Transfer: when you request the transfer, Vinted says it can take up to 5 working days, excluding weekends and bank holidays.

5 working days

The maximum time Vinted states between your transfer request and the money arriving in your bank account (help page "Transferring your earnings").

A full timeline example

Example: you drop off a parcel on Monday. It's delivered to the pick-up point on Thursday. The buyer doesn't confirm. The order completes on Saturday. The money becomes available by the following Monday at the latest. You request the transfer on Monday: it can take until the Monday after.

In the worst case, then, two weeks go by between drop-off and the money reaching your account. In the best case, the buyer confirms the same day and everything is several days shorter.

Why is my money "pending" on Vinted?

Money stays pending as long as the order isn't completed. That's deliberate: the payment provider holds the funds so it can refund the buyer if the item doesn't arrive or doesn't match. Vinted explains this on its "Pending balance" page.

The most common reasons for a longer wait:

  • The tracking hasn't been updated. Until the carrier has scanned the parcel as delivered, the 2-day countdown doesn't start.
  • The buyer has opened a dispute. The money stays held until it's resolved.
  • You're a Pro seller. For a Pro account, the buyer has 14 days (right of withdrawal) before automatic completion, instead of 2.
  • A parcel lost or stuck at a pick-up point. Nothing moves until the status changes.

How can you shorten the wait without forcing anything?

The only clean lever is making sure the buyer confirms quickly. A short message at delivery is often enough: "Your parcel has arrived at the pick-up point, I hope you like it. Remember to confirm receipt once you've opened it." No pressure, just a reminder.

Dropping your parcel off on the day of the sale helps too: every day of delay at drop-off pushes everything else back.

Why is my Vinted withdrawal blocked or not arriving?

A transfer that doesn't arrive almost always comes down to a problem with bank details or an identity check. Vinted lists the causes on its page about transfer problems.

Diagnosing a blocked withdrawal

The transfer button doesn't workNo bank details savedAdd your bank details (IBAN) in the Wallet

Nothing after 5 working daysDelay or error at the bankCheck your statements, then contact support with screenshots

What if I entered the wrong IBAN?

If the account doesn't exist or is closed, Vinted says the money comes back within 14 calendar days. If the transfer went to another valid account, the refund can take 15 working days. In both cases, correct the IBAN before making a new request.

One bank account per Vinted account

This is what surprises sellers most when they run one account for themselves and one for a family member. Vinted states that the same bank details can't be used on several accounts: the transfers fail. Each account needs its own bank account, in the holder's name.

Do I need to verify my identity to withdraw my Vinted money?

Yes, a verification may be requested before a transfer. It's handled by the payment provider, not by Vinted, and the documents go directly to them. It's triggered in particular when the Wallet is activated, when there's unusual activity, when certain thresholds are reached or for a single transfer of €1,000 or more, according to Vinted's page on identity documents.

Until it's done, your money stays in the Wallet. It isn't lost, it's frozen.

Should you withdraw after every sale or wait?

It's better to withdraw on a fixed schedule. Vinted doesn't mention any transfer fees on its help pages, so the question isn't cost but keeping your accounts easy to read.

Three habits that avoid unpleasant surprises:

  • One withdrawal a week, on the same day. You always know what has gone out and what's left.
  • Don't leave large sums sitting there. A single large transfer can trigger a check. Regular withdrawals of modest amounts make a freeze at the wrong moment less likely.
  • Record every transfer. Date, amount, number of sales covered. That's what will let you reconcile Vinted with your bank statement.

Why doesn't the amount transferred match my sales?

Because one transfer covers several sales, sometimes spread over weeks, and part of the balance may have been used for purchases. The Wallet pays for your Vinted purchases from the available balance first. If you buy stock on Vinted, your monthly transfer will be smaller than your sales, and that's normal.

The problem shows up at the end of the month: you see €640 land in your account, but you no longer know which sales it represents, or how much you really made once your stock purchases are deducted.

How do you know what you're really earning, beyond the Wallet?

The Wallet tells you how much money is available. It doesn't tell you what you've earned. For that, you need to reconcile three things: the sale price of each item, what it cost you, and what has been transferred.

Example: in September, you sell 42 items for €780. You paid €290 for that stock at second-hand shops and €60 on Vinted, paid from your balance. You withdraw €720. Your gross margin is €430, not €720. If you only follow the transfers, you overestimate your earnings by nearly €300.

Reconcile sales and transfers in 15 minutes a week

  1. 1

Every Monday, export or copy out the list of the previous week's completed sales.

  2. 2

Next to each item, note its purchase price.

  3. 3

Note any stock purchases paid for from the Wallet.

  4. 4

Make your withdrawal and note the exact amount.

  5. 5

Check that completed sales minus purchases paid from the balance equals the amount withdrawn (give or take a few days).

If you sell around ten items a month, a notebook or spreadsheet is more than enough. Beyond 50 sales a month, reconciling by hand becomes a chore that gets put off, and that's when the gaps creep in.

Doing this reconciliation sale by sale, with the purchase price of each piece, is exactly what Revendor does for you: sales, purchases and stock are synced, and your margin is calculated automatically.

What should you do if Vinted doesn't respond about your withdrawal?

First, respect the stated timings: 2 days for confirmation, 2 days for release, 5 working days for the transfer. Before those deadlines, support will just point you back to them.

Once they've passed, contact support through Vinted's help centre with:

  • the date of the transfer request;
  • the exact amount;
  • a screenshot of the Wallet;
  • a bank statement showing the transfer hasn't arrived.

A complete file avoids back-and-forth. If your account itself is restricted, the logic is different: we cover it in our guide on a blocked or restricted Vinted account.

Are Vinted withdrawals reported for tax?

The withdrawal itself isn't reported, but sales are above certain thresholds. Since the DAC7 directive, platforms pass to the tax authorities the data of sellers who reach 30 transactions or €2,000 in a year, as France's impots.gouv.fr explains. Being reported doesn't mean being taxable: in France, selling your own second-hand belongings is in principle not taxed. Buying to resell, on the other hand, is a commercial activity. The details are in our article on declaring your Vinted sales without panicking.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take for Vinted money to reach your bank account?

After your transfer request, Vinted states up to 5 working days. On top of that comes the delivery time, the 2 days the buyer has to confirm, then up to 2 days for the money to become available.

Why is my money pending on Vinted?

Because the order isn't completed yet. The money is held for as long as the buyer can report a problem, then released within 2 days of completion.

Are there fees to withdraw money from Vinted?

The Vinted help pages we consulted don't mention any fees for transferring to a bank account. The minimum transfer amount is €0.10.

Can you use the same bank account for two Vinted accounts?

No. Vinted says that using the same bank details on several accounts makes transfers fail. Each account must have its own bank account in the holder's name.

Why is Vinted asking for my ID to withdraw?

The payment provider has to verify your identity for regulatory reasons, in particular when the Wallet is activated, at certain thresholds or for a transfer of €1,000 or more. Until that's done, transfers stay suspended.
